Chelsea Miller

Originally from the Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania, Chelsea moved to the Outer Banks 14 years ago. She came to love yoga at a very young age playing around with her aunt while she would practice, which ultimately helped set the stage for her future role in the yoga community. She reconnected with her practice in high school after a series of sports related injuries, using the physical practice of yoga to heal the body. With a lifetime love for fitness and dance, Chelsea was drawn to vinyasa yoga, using the breath to link one movement with the next.  Teaching yoga on the beach is like second nature to her, having always felt a strong connection to the sea, and as an avid surfer and kiteboarder. Her hope is that her students can gain more connection to their inner self through practicing on the beach surrounded by nature.

Chelsea has over 2,000 teaching hours, making her an ERYT-200 instructor. She completed her 200-hour Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in April 2014 under Tamal Dodge, an internationally recognized yoga instructor. Chelsea is also a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher in Standup Paddleboard Yoga and 5Elements Vinyasa through Kristin Cooper.  Along with her certifications, she has a Bachelor's degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University, giving her a strong background in Anatomy and Physiology. Her classes are very alignment based, focusing on maintaining a safe practice for all students, while still being very fun and energetic.
